UPPERMILL METHODIST CHURCH

The Church Council has been talking widely about the future use of the UMC buildings and discussions are ongoing. Very soon we will be launching a fundraising drive to secure at theist the church space: for worship and as a flexible community resource. There are potential exciting community-based options for the future use of the schoolroom building at the rear. To make further progress on these we are required to "test the market," to establish the approximate value of this part of the building. This is to comply with Methodist Church processes and surveyor recommendations. 

You may have seen some marketing material online that implied that the whole church is for sale. This was misleading and has been amended to emphasise that we are establishing potential interest in the rear schoolroom building only. For the immediate term, nothing will change as far as the use of the buildings is concerned. We will post updates on progress on our UMC Futures page and we are aiming to review with the estate agents any interest there has been, early in September 2026.
