If you would like a barrows set, I would recommend Veracs. The helm and RuneScape gold skirt provide the highest defense for their respective positions (of the barrows armours) whereas the brassard is slightly poorer than Torag's, Guthan's or Dharok's plates. However, Verac's provides a good prayer bonus (unlike other barrows armours) as well as a fantastic set unique.

Now, I understand you already have Dragon Legs and you're aiming for a fighter chest so what I'd recommend for you to do would be to maintain those as your main armour, but possess a Guthan's set with you to use it's special attack as a healing mechanism. This way your main armour set will probably be non-degradable and offensive friendly (torso provides strength bonus unlike barrows). Also remember that besides Dharok's and Verac's in certain situations, other Barrows collections (including the weapon) are useless.

So that the top 3 choices for you in my view: 1. Verac's skirt/Dragon Legs with Fighter torso and Abyssal Whip/Dragon Defender (you can have a Guthan's set to cure you in addition to this). 2. This provides high protection but for many situations it's nearly redundant as you do not get hit much anyways. 3. The full set can be used for certain activities such as Kalphite queen and barrows or PvP. You can be a great keyer but without a equally excellent group it is useless. You can do enjoy 5:5 larges with at least 2-3 good people including yourself. That situation would be somebody rage quitted or is just kind of leeching/not doing much.

I believe having particular items helps a great deal too. Not just for you but for your whole team. Because just 1 person not having it could slow down a dungeon if you're trying to do like a lever area but the Skeletons continue on attacking the Non Hooded one.

I would maybe also work in your stats. Not just fight but abilities as well. Because time is wasted once a keyer opens a doorway and sees maybe that you need to prune vines but you don't have the level required so you need to call 1 someone to come do this door. Occasionally they overlook a knife. So that saves time also. I mean mainly for Strength/Defence. Only Strength for the force bar door or buy RS gold any other rooms that need that ability. Then Defence so you can wear better armuor/tank more creatures.
